Good Morning

Hello everyone,
Busy day for me today. I am working with others on pictures of my parents 40th wedding anniversary.
The lighting was not the best in the videos and pictures so hoping we can have them turn out really special.
I will be back here soon. have the best day and weekend.
P.S. Designs of Cynthia is now going to have a link on Whispers of Country sometime in next few days. Check it out sometime.
Until next time.

What are You Creating With: How Are You Promoting Your Work?

I've been hard at it today working on websites and facebook business pages. And I'm still not done yet. I'm always so very thankful for resources and programs to make my work easier.
Photoshop and PicMonkey are a godsend to say the least.
Another cool little program I found is found Photo! Editor 1.1 at
http://filehippo.com/download_photo_editor
I use filehippo.com because I've never had any trouble with malware thankfully.
Photo! Editor 1.1 has  KEY FEATURES INCLUDING
  • Fix Red Eye:The Fix Red Eye tool allows you to easily remove red eye from your images. You can either fix your photo automatically or edit it in manual mode.
  • Enhance Color:The Enhance Color tool contains an array of advanced tools for adjusting the color balance, contrast, brightness and saturation of an image. You can do this automatically or manually. And More..
Photo Editor 1.1 is an older program and doesn't particularly like to run on my desktop but my laptop doesn't seem to mind. Haven't tried it on mac yet.

Just a little side note...don't use or download anything from  softonic.com. It's chock full of malware and stuff you don't want on
your computer! Anytime I've ever tried to download anything
from them, I backtrack and have to remove malware.

I've also included this 'Comic Hero Graphic below from PicMonkey to encourage
you to get on over and try out a free sign up if you haven't used PicMonkey before or
have been kicking around doing so. I promised I'll be sharing more on PicMonkey and what
it can do. I haven't forgotten, just thought it important to share
other great resources as well or in addition. Next post I will be sharing on some
PicMonkey's finer features. In the meantime, what are you waiting for?
Click the image and head on over to sign up for free.

Before I go, I want to address briefly how your doing with your social media. Do you advertise on facebook? How's it going getting your work out there to the world?

A friend of mine offers you some tools/resources that are amazing. Jo Barnes has came from the same place as most of us. She's worked hard and learned Facebook mastery plus many other resources she'd love to share with you.

She stays on stop social media changes in amazing ways. You know how facebook seems to be changing like crazy these days. One day things are 'same old same old', the next I'm floored by changes I wasn't quite ready for. Well......

Photo Enhancement: What do You Use to Create?

 Good afternoon,

I am curious what others use in creating. Do you photograph the world around you?
Or do you simply enjoy graphics, photographs, art, and so on for free or inexpensive and excellent qualities?

I know I really need a good supply of graphics and photographs for my social media and website. There are times it's nice to have resources beyond my own to grab and use or create something really quickly with. One of those is my favoritest
(shhh is that a word or did I make it up lol): .
Anyway the program is PicMonkey

Do you use photoshop, scrap art, psp and tubes, poser, etc?

I learned photoshop several years ago when I was creating websites. I love it a lot for sure.
I've been learning and using psp and tubes for the few years. My desktop doesn't really like it and my laptop does fine with it. It's a real pain if I'm working on a project on my laptop but logged in to where the work needs to post on the desktop. Sigh

As it's been said, 'If there is a will there is a way'. With that said, I've found all kinds of work arounds for things. I use dropbox for one and learned how to 'favorite/star' a video or picture on my iphone and dropbox will upload it pronto. If the file isn't extremely large, I can email to myself and get it on the desktop. There's always a way. Or vica versa.

I'm curious if you use Photoshop are you using Elements or a higher version?

Sometimes people don't want to admit they are using photo elements 13 for example. As if there is shame to using a very good program more than worth it's weight. Let's face it, not everyone can take classes or spend even more hours learning CS6 or others. Of course Lydia always has great classes but it's that time frame that would kill most people.
I've even been using Canva and like it as well. Have you tried Canva? It's a real straightforward and easy graphic program as well.

I'm encouraging you to be happy with what programs your using. Don't allow yourself to be condemned nor condemn yourself.

As I said, I've been playing with a down right rad program,
PicMonkey: fearless photo embetterment

At first I signed up for the 'free Royale program' but liked it so much I upgraded really super inexpensively and became a affiliate to let you know how awesome it is.
Go ahead and click the link and go check it out for yourself if you'd like. I don't think you will be disappointed at all.
